Heading to her grandmother’s 80th birthday dinner, Camilla expects tensions and secrets to surface. For the first time in years, they come together, sparking old rivalries, revealing secrets, and a shocking turn of events that leaves them all stunned.

Scott, Camilla’s spouse, and she were traveling to her grandmother’s house for a family meal. The whole family was together for the first time in a long time.

Grandma Eleanor requested that they all attend her 80th birthday, so they traveled from various cities to be there. After parking the car, Scott let them enjoy the refreshing evening breeze outside.

As they made their way to the front door, Scott complained, “I still don’t get why we’re here.”

Alright. Mom shouldn’t know just yet. At the end of the evening, I might inform Grandma,” Camilla remarked.

“You have a choice, my love. Scott hugged her gently and said, “I’m here for you.

They heard a second vehicle pull in. They turned back and watched Michael, Camilla’s brother, and Stacy, his wife, step out of their vehicle.

“Hey!” Await our arrival! Michael ran over and yelled.

“What inheritance?” one asks. Michael asked the same question as Camilla.

“I’m going to be the one your grandfather left behind. However, you can disregard it. You’re not sure how to be grateful for what you have. Until you learn to appreciate it, I won’t leave you anything! Declared Eleanor.

Hold on! What must we do in order to receive the inheritance? Michael yelled in her direction.

Eleanor responded, “Tell me you deserve it,” as she turned to leave.

When Camilla began to feel sick, she went outdoors and held and massaged her stomach. A short while later, Michael came to join her.

“Maybe we will inherit something,” he informed Camilla.

Camilla answered, “We might have if you hadn’t ruined everything as usual.”

“Me? “You initiated it,” Michael retorted angrily.

“I need this inheritance, Michael. I truly require it, stated Camilla.

Michael shot back, “I need it too.”

“You own eateries! Give me something, please! Camilla lost her temper.

Michael stated, “Business isn’t going well, and Stacy threatens to leave if I don’t fix it.”

Camilla remarked, “That might be good for you.” “I refuse to back down. Scott and I are in dire need of the funds right now.

“And what plans do you have?” Michael enquired.

Camilla turned to leave and entered the house again, saying, “Prove I deserve the inheritance.”

“Hey!” That is unfair! Michael yelled after her.

Eleanor was found in her bedroom by Camilla. Camilla apologized for letting our quarrel spoil your celebration.

“You’re not to blame. Eleanor answered, “Your mother didn’t raise you to be friendly.”

Are you in the mood for anything? Food? Have a drink? Camilla enquired.

“Is this your attempt to demonstrate your merit for the inheritance?”

Putting her palm on her stomach, Camilla added, “Scott and I really need this money right now.” “Due to—”

“Don’t listen to her,” interrupted Michael as he rushed in. She is lying about who I am.

Eleanor clarified, “We weren’t talking about you.” “What were you saying, Camilla?”

“No, not at all significant. Camilla said, “I’ll tell you later,” hoping Michael wouldn’t hear her.

“Grandma, is there anything you need?” Michael said, “Let me help you with something.”

Eleanor remarked, “You’re wrong if you think that sucking up to me will get you the inheritance.” “Let’s return to the table and finish our meal.”

When the three of them went back to the dining room, they noticed that Margaret, Camilla and Michael’s mother, had shown up. Scott and Stacy were still seated.

“My sweethearts! I’m overjoyed to see you! Margaret hugged Camilla after giving Michael a hug. She said, “You’ve gained some weight, Camilla,” which caused Camilla to squint. Everybody took a seat.

“You’re talking about inheritance, Michael informed me. Do I appear on the heirs’ list? Margaret enquired.

“So that explains your visit. Eleanor remarked, “Not surprised that my daughter wants money from me only.”
